15.06.2020 – Exam grades
The grades for the EvaSys exams in Statics and Dynamics 1, Linear E-Theory as well as Linear FEM are now available. Furthermore, the grades for General Structural Analysis and Dynamics and Vibration are available. You can ask for your grade by phone in the secretary's office of the chair from Tuesday 16.06.2020 from 9 am to 1 pm. Information about the examination will be published here as soon as the hygiene concept has been coordinated with the occupational health and safety department.

In agreement with the faculty we offer the following homeworks as a substitute for the cancelled exam CHM (cancelled on 17.03.2020) as well as for the cancelled exam NLFEM (cancelled on 24.03.2020):
- Homework for the sub-performance "Computational Higher Mechanics" (CHM) in the module "Fundamentals of Advanced Mechanics" (GEM), see the Moodle workspace BMSD-GEM-CHM-HÜ.

16.03.-20.03.2020 - Chairs of Construction Mechanics, Statics and Dynamics at the GAMM Annual Conference in Kassel
The annual meeting of the Society for Applied Mathematics and Mechanics (GAMM) is a central platform for scientific activities related to mathematics, mechanics and numerics. The chairs are represented at the event with seven presentations.
10.02.-13.02.2020 - Organization and participation in the winter seminar for teaching and research in Winterberg
The Chairs of Statics and Dynamics of Planar Structures of the University of Duisburg-Essen, Structural Analysis and Structural Dynamics of the RWTH Aachen, and Building Mechanics, Statics and Dynamics of the TU Dortmund met in Winterberg in the Sauerland region to exchange ideas on current topics in science and teaching. In addition to technical presentations, workshops were held on the topics of "E-learning and visual aids in teaching", "Commercial FEM programs - advantages and disadvantages, comparison, exchange of experience" and "Use of programming languages in research and teaching". Furthermore, the participants were able to get to know each other better through the team-building measure of "self-catering", where international dishes from Italy, Israel and Turkey were served. Furthermore, the possibility of electronic examinations in the subjects of construction mechanics, statics and dynamics was discussed.
